Project Overview
TCL, a leading global tech brand, operates in over 160 countries. In 2018, it launched the ‘Palm,’ a compact device designed as a smartphone companion. This device helps users leave their main smartphones at home. The objective was to craft a compelling ad campaign for the MENA region and to establish the Palm as an essential accessory for those wanting to disconnect from their primary phones.
Process + Outcomes
For this project, the goal was to generate excitement and awareness about the Palm through visuals and messaging that aligned with the brand identity. I worked with a global, cross-functional team where we outlined the objectives, strategy, and goals, and created a roadmap for achieving them in the initial phase of this project. A key challenge I faced was the communication aspect across the large team I worked with. To combat this, I ensured that I conducted regular check-ins with team members to align on the campaign direction and set expectations early on across all the project touchpoints.
Our team held brainstorming sessions and design sprints to define the visual direction. Once the design concept was finalized, we executed it across various mediums, including OOH ads, digital and social banners, and print brochures, ensuring consistency throughout. The campaign successfully reached a wide audience, drove high sales revenue, and received positive customer feedback.
