Epson

Event Branding and Wayfinding

ROLE : DESIGNER

Project Overview

Epson, a leading Japanese electronics company, is one of the world’s largest manufacturers of printers and imaging-related equipment. For an event, titled the “Make the Switch” event, hosted with Prompt Computers, Epson needed event branding and wayfinding collateral aimed at promoting a new eco-friendly printer and celebrating the new partnership between the two companies.

Process + Outcomes

The project’s main goal was to develop a concept for the event that showcased the new product and the collaboration between the two companies. The challenge was to present these aspects in a fresh way based on a pre-existing design system while adhering to both companies’ brand guidelines. Using that foundational branding, my team and I worked to develop wayfinding assets with a strong, clear design ensuring that it’s adaptable and flexible to different formats. To ensure alignment, my design team and I conducted regular design check-ins with both clients, and worked to create a concept that resonated closely with the creative brief, brand guidelines, and research conducted.

We developed two design options with the aforementioned parameters, with one being particularly favored. We then refined this concept into a final design that satisfied both clients and incorporated their branding elements. The event was successful, achieving a big turnout and strong attendee engagement.
